Introducing the Dakota Hotel Development
The redevelopment of the vacant St Ann’s Wharf building into the luxurious Dakota Hotel is a prestigious project for Newcastle that aims to rejuvenate the Newcastle Quayside area. This development will not only boost the city’s hospitality sector but also create 150 new jobs, including apprenticeships, internships, and graduate training programs.
Isoler's Exemplary Role in the Dakota Hotel Project
Initially, Isoler was appointed by GMI to apply protective coatings during Phase 1 of the project. Their exemplary performance led to an expanded role, where they were tasked with completing a full fire stopping package for the hotel. This involved installing fire penetration seals to prevent the spread of fire within the building. Isoler’s compartmentation work is crucial for maintaining the integrity of a building’s fire safety design. By ensuring that compartmentation remains intact, Isoler helps to halt the progression of fire within a building.
