A relocation to new premises at Team Valley Trading Estate, Gateshead has enabled Northern Bear Safety Ltd to establish a Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) approved training centre. This will provide benefits to the Group’s employees, as well as all of Northern Bear Safety’s external customers.
The training centre is fully equipped to provide a wide range of accredited health and safety training courses as well as Northern Bear Safety’s own high standard courses and half-day workshops that have been developed in-house.
The facilities include a permanent scaffold rig that has been erected in the centre to give candidates an introduction to scaffold safety and how to install safe ladder access. The adjoining ladder bay allows operatives to be given practical lessons on tying ladders correctly from the safety of the ground.
Many of the courses Northern Bear Safety provide are also eligible for CITB grant funding.
